Black Pepper Tofu & Green Beans

1/2c + 2 T tamari
2 1/2 T sugar
1/2 T ground black pepper
1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 T potato starch 
14 oz firm/extra firm tofu, drained, pressed, and cubed
2 T sesame oil, divided
1 pkg frozen, chopped green beans (about 2 cups)
2 shallots, finely chopped

Combine tamari, sugar, pepper and ginger. Set aside.

Add potato starch to a large bag, add tofu, and shake to coat.

Heat 1T sesame oil in a large skillet, add tofu, and cook stirring occasionally until brown. Remove tofu from skillet and set aside.

Heat remaining 1T sesame oil in same skillet and add shallots and green beans. Cook until shallots are translucent and green beans are cooked through.

Add tofu and reserved sauce and cook through until thick and bubbly.
